Review of Fronius Solar Inverter

Fronius inverter

If we talk about solar installation and solar inverters, at the top of the list of big companies to mention would be FRONIUS. Fronius has always been a very modern company since it’s onset in 1992, opting for renewable energy and solar energy as its main objective.

In addition, apart from manufacturing solar inverters, this company has shown great interest in researching and developing the renewable energies of the future.

Residential Solar Inverters

The Fronius GEN24 Plus is a hybrid inverter with integrated backup power recommended for households that do not want to risk running out of power in the event of a power outage.

With this new model, a minimum of energy can be guaranteed for basic household utilities, such as the maintenance of refrigerators and freezers, the use of telephony, etc.

For continuous use and high energy consumption, it would not be the best option because the battery is limited.

Fronius - Residential System Solution

Fronius provides, like almost all companies on the market, a free Wi-Fi monitoring service with all its inverters. Simply with a Wi-Fi connection from your home, you can connect your inverter that will send your data to the cloud so that you can see it on your computer, Smartphone or other device.

The service is called solar.web and, although with the default you can only check the solar production, with the addition of a Fronius Smart Meter you can also see the consumption.

Fronius - Solar APP

Fronius automatically comes with a standard 5-year warranty and is very limited in terms of what it covers. It also offers a free extended warranty that only covers parts. You must purchase the additional system warranty.

The Fronius Plus Guarantee is a payment guarantee that can be purchased for a period of 5, 10, 15, 20 years.

The price available on the Fronius website is a payment service. This guarantee covers the materials, service and transport services.

Are Fronius Inverters Worth it?

Fronius inverters are known as high-performance inverters with a higher self-consumption rate, intelligent control of energy flows and limitation of energy export on the grid.

They could be considered as a premium product, and to be honest, this is reflected in the price.

But are they worth the cost?

Well, being one of the most well-established companies in the world, its manufacturing and product standards are very good.

Customers love Fronius solar inverters because this Austrian company was one of the first to start marketing them. Therefore the trust, safety and quality they guarantee and promise have been tried and tested for almost 30 years.

They pride themselves on their certificates and the majority of their solar inverters are approved by the Clean Energy Council for The Small Scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES).

In terms of aesthetics, Fronius is larger and heavier than most solar inverters but on the other hand, it has a more elegant appearance.

Things to Keep in Mind

One aspect for improvement would be the noise levels produced. We do not advise you to install it near the main rooms because it tends to be perhaps a little louder than expected. Fronius works with a ventilation cooling system.

One of the most common doubts is whether Fronius solar inverters are suitable for the Australian climate.

The Fronius Inverter is a durable product for Australia’s extreme weather conditions. All Fronius inverters are certified by the Clean Energy Council.

Within their products, they have both residential and domestic and self-consumption inverters as well as industrial inverters.

If affordability is your top priority, the Fronius Inverter may not be for you.

However, they are one of the most popular inverters on the Australian market for the quality, performance and reliability that the company provides.

The strong performance of these inverters means you get more efficiency and power for your money. This higher efficiency means a shorter payback period for your initial investment compared to inverters from other brands.

Its Australian headquarters are located in Melbourne and has been operating since 2010 and has highly valued customer service from the user.
